Phoenix Metro, AZ (Hybrid / Remote-flexible) · Internship · Part-time, 10–20 hrs/wk
Social Media Marketing, Analytics & SEO Intern
Reports to Owner / Operations, Tristan. Rolling start · semester, 12 weeks, or 7.5 weeks.
Help a Phoenix-based drone cleaning company get found, get booked, and get measured. You will publish real posts, set up real tracking, and ship real SEO on platinumdronecleaning.com.
The role
We are hiring a Social Media Marketing, Google Analytics, and SEO intern to turn drone footage and local demand into booked jobs. You will own content cadence, search visibility, and measurement for a growing service business — not a classroom case study.
You will leave with a portfolio: campaign work, an analytics dashboard, and documented ranking work. You report to the owner. Fall, spring, or summer.
What you will do
Social media
- Plan and run a weekly calendar for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Google Business Profile, and LinkedIn.
- Turn job-site drone footage, before-and-after solar cleans, and commercial window work into short video, carousels, and Reels.
- Write captions for Arizona homeowners, solar owners, property managers, HOAs, and commercial facility teams.
- Grow comments, shares, saves, Google reviews, and DMs that become quote requests.
- Give field pilots a simple shot list so every job produces usable footage.
- Watch drone cleaning, solar maintenance, and high-rise glass competitors in Phoenix and nationally.
Google Analytics
- Audit and implement GA4, including events for quote requests, phone clicks, form submits, and booking buttons.
- Connect GA4 with Search Console, Google Ads if it is running, Google Business Profile insights, and Meta or TikTok events where they belong.
- Build a weekly dashboard: sessions, organic traffic, top landing pages, conversion rate, lead source, and social referrals.
- Set UTM rules so a post, an email, or an ad can be traced to a booked clean.
- Write the tracking down so the owner can read the numbers without living in the tools.
SEO
- Research high-intent local terms: solar panel cleaning Phoenix, drone window cleaning Scottsdale, commercial glass cleaning Mesa, and related service-plus-city searches.
- On-page work: titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text, and schema on service pages.
- Local SEO: Google Business Profile, name-address-phone consistency, reviews, photos, Q&A, and Valley service-area pages.
- Draft blog and landing-page copy that answers real questions: price, cadence, rain, drones, quarterly plans, commercial versus residential.
- Check indexation, mobile speed, broken links, and the sitemap.
- Send a monthly snapshot: rankings, impressions, clicks, and what to do next.
What you will learn
- How a local service company actually gets a lead, from the search to the booked job.
- GA4 events and attribution for a business that still runs on the phone.
- Local SEO across more than one Valley city.
- Short-form video for a visual product: drones and dirty-to-clean transformations.
- Working with an owner-operator who is an ASU alum, not three layers of marketing managers.
Ideal candidate
Required
- Enrolled in, or recently graduated from, marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, business, or a related program — or a self-taught marketer with a sharp portfolio.
- Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and short-form editing (CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar).
- Familiar with Google Analytics 4 and Search Console. Coursework or a personal project counts.
- Clear writing. You can explain solar soiling and drone cleaning without sounding like a brochure.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, UTM links, and basic site edits.
- Reliable, curious, and able to work on your own with a weekly check-in.
- Based in the Phoenix metro, or able to work remotely with occasional on-site content days.
Nice to have
- Prior work on a small-business site, a Google Business Profile, or a local SEO project.
- Looker Studio, Tag Manager, or a modern site builder.
- Photography or drone-adjacent content skills.
- Spanish and English. Useful across the Valley.
- Interest in clean energy, property management, or trades marketing.
Schedule and logistics
- 10–20 hours a week, with weekday flexibility. Occasional early mornings or weekends to catch a job on camera.
- Hybrid. Most of the work is remote. Periodic Phoenix meetups or ride-alongs for footage and reviews.
- Unpaid internship, plus a portfolio you can show. Academic credit if your school allows it.
- 7.5 weeks minimum, with the option to stay through a second semester. A permanent seat is possible after that.
- Bring your own laptop. We provide brand assets, analytics access, field content, and a review of what you publish.
